I married my beautiful wife Ruth on December 30th, 2000. Shortly after that we felt the call of God to attend Appalachian Bible College. After graduating with my Bachelor of Arts in 2004, majoring in Biblical Studies and minoring in Pastoral Ministries, we felt God calling us back to West Michigan and in particular Grace. I started in June of 2004 and I have been ministering at Grace ever since. God has blessed me and Ruth with 5 amazing children – Kathryn, Josiah, Helen, Wesley, and Olivia. I put a high priority on my family being my first ministry, and the church coming second. My passion is to help lost people find Jesus and to see those who know Jesus grow daily in their relationship with Him. I have seen God do amazing things here at Grace in the past 8 years, and I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in the next 20! I am an avid and at times fanatical sports fan and love all things outdoors, especially hunting. I look forward to every summer when I get to ride my motorcycle! If you find yourself at Grace, make sure you come up and say Hi, I look forward to meeting you.
Hi, my name is Chris and I am originally from Springfield, Illinois. My wife Danielle and I have been married for 6 years and we have 2 boys – Luca and Ezra. Danielle and I were previously involved in youth ministry for 5 years at our previous church in Springfield, Illinois. I have been on staff at Grace since July 2016 and have been able to serve in and oversee both worship arts and small group ministries. I love watching tennis, playing racquetball and ping pong, doing home projects, and drinking coffee. Call or email me sometime and let’s go grab some joe!
Student Ministries Pastor
My name is Ben. I’m originally from West Liberty, Ohio (a very small town located in a cornfield about an hour west of Columbus), but my wife, Kelly, and I have been living in Michigan for almost 10 years now. We’ve been married just south of 12 years and have 3 crazy but wonderful kids-Emma, Levi, and Aletheia (Ally). I felt God’s call to go into youth ministry when I was 18 years old and have been doing that for 17 years in one capacity or another. ). I’m passionate about sharing the Gospel and showing kids how to love God and grow in their relationship with Him. I just recently came on staff at Grace and am loving it! I also love spending time with my family, hanging out with friends, reading, listening to music, cooking, watching college football (Go Buckeyes!), and a lot more. If you’re ever at Grace, feel free to say “Hi!” I’d love to meet you and get to know you better.
Hi! I’m Lisa, also lovingly (I think!) known around the office as the Office Commander. My husband, Heath, and I have been married for 10 years and are small group leaders. I have been at Grace since we were married and in my current position since 2012. Along with managing the day to day church office, I also take care of the financial side of things, and lead our women’s ministry, “Ladies of Grace”. I LOVE what I do! In my spare time (what’s that?) I enjoy spending time with my hubby and our nieces & nephews, grabbing lunch or coffee with friends, reading, and traveling!
Worship Arts Director
My husband, Frank, and I have been married since March of 2003. We have one beautiful daughter named Ambrie who is the coolest kid in the world. She was an unexpected blessing later in our marriage and we're incredibly proud to be her parents. We've attended Grace since September 2008. Shortly after deciding to call Grace our home, I was asked to join the worship band as one of the violinists. As the church and the worship ministry grew, I was asked to serve as a worship leader. In February 2018 I was hired on staff as the Worship Arts Director. I connect to God through music in a very special way, and I love watching others connect to Him in this way as well. In my spare time I've been known to pick up a camera and take some pretty cool photos. I love to take long bike rides with my family, play with our two dogs, read with my daughter, and watch movies with my husband. I'm also very passionate about coffee! If you see me at Grace, please be sure to introduce yourself so I can get to know you!
Children's Ministry Director
Hi! My name is Amanda Weeks. I was born and raised in Venezuela where my parents worked as missionaries. After graduating from high school I moved from Venezuela to Wisconsin and then finally to Michigan to attend Cornerstone University where I completed my bachelor’s degree in elementary education. During that time, I began attending Grace which is where I met my husband, Lee. We enjoy trying new local restaurants, playing volleyball, rock hunting and collecting antiques. I am a kindergarten teacher in Rockford’s Spanish Immersion program. I absolutely love my job! I am very excited and honored to be able to serve God by investing in the children at Grace.
