Welcome to Grace!

We welcome you to come as you are and worship together with us.

If you are looking for a church home, we want you to know that there is a place here for you.

Our main purpose is to worship and glorify our God and Savior. We desire to honor him through all that we do. Therefore, you will find us to be a worshipping church.

We desire to follow Christ’s example by welcoming everyone and                            never turning anyone away. You will find us to be a friendly church.

We believe the Bible is God’s Word to us for today. We believe it is truth,                that it is alive and relevant to life. We believe it is necessary for spiritual                  growth. Therefore, you will find us to be  a Bible believing church.

Adult Sunday School 8:00am

Morning Worship 9:00am & 10:45am

  • We have programs for infant through 5th grade in both services.
  • Middle School and High School students join their families in the main service.

Youth Group (6th-12th grade) 6:30-8:30pm

  • Students are split into age appropriate teaching and small group times.

Our purpose is to worship (Jn. 4:23,24) and glorify God (1 Cor. 10:31) by helping people grow in the knowledge of God, (Col. 1:10) and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, (2 Pt. 3:18) so that they may become conformed to His image (Rom. 8:29, Col. 1:15) in order to equip them for the work of the ministry and the edifying of the body of Christ (Eph. 4:12) and to enable them to share His truth and love (Jn. 15:12, Matt. 22:39) with others.

Kevin Reed Senior Pastor

I married my beautiful wife Ruth on December 30th, 2000.  Shortly after that we felt the call of God to attend Appalachian Bible College.  After graduating with my Bachelor of Arts in 2004, majoring in Biblical Studies and minoring in Pastoral Ministries, we felt God calling us back to West Michigan and in particular Grace.  I started in June of 2004 and I have been ministering at Grace ever since.  God has blessed me and Ruth with 4 amazing children – Kathryn, Helen, Wesley, and Olivia.  I put a high priority on my family being my first ministry, and the church coming second.  My passion is to help lost people find Jesus and to see those who know Jesus grow daily in their relationship with Him.  I have seen God do amazing things here at Grace in the past 8 years, and I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in the next 20!  I am an avid and at times fanatical sports fan and love all things outdoors, especially hunting.   I look forward to every summer when I get to ride my motorcycle!  If you find yourself at Grace, make sure you come up and say Hi, I look forward to meeting you.

Chris Paoni  Executive Pastor

Hi, my name is Chris and I am originally from Springfield, Illinois. My wife Danielle and I have been married for 6 years and we have 2 boys – Luca and Ezra. Danielle and I were previously involved in youth ministry for 5 years at our previous church in Springfield, Illinois. I have been on staff at Grace since July 2016 and have been able to serve in and oversee both worship arts and small group ministries. I love watching tennis, playing racquetball and ping pong, doing home projects, and drinking coffee. Call or email me sometime and let’s go grab some joe!

Lisa Smith Office Manager

Hi! I’m Lisa, also lovingly (I think!) known around the office as the Office Commander. My husband, Heath, and I have been married for 9 years and are small group leaders. I have been at Grace since we were married and in my current position since 2012. Along with managing the day to day church office, I also take care of the financial side of things, and lead our women’s ministry, “Ladies of Grace”. I LOVE what I do! In my spare time (what’s that?) I enjoy spending time with my hubby and our nieces & nephews, grabbing lunch or coffee with friends, reading, and traveling!

Lexi Lucarelli Childrens Ministry Director

Hi! I'm Lexi and I have been working at Grace since September 2017.  I am a full time student at Cornerstone University studying Elementary education with a focus in science and language arts.  I love what I do here at Grace and am thankful for the great group of kids I get to spend time with!  Investing in our kids by teaching them about Christ and the relationship that they can/or have with God and giving them a time to fellowship and grow with each other is so important to me.  Outside of work and school, I love spending time with my family, including our German Shepherd Levi, singing, hiking, kayaking, drawing, and am known as a little "tree hugger."

Kara Krywicki - Worship Arts Director

My husband, Frank, and I have been married since March of 2003. We have one beautiful daughter named Ambrie who is the coolest kid in the world. She was an unexpected blessing later in our marriage and we're incredibly proud to be her parents. We've attended Grace since September 2008. Shortly after deciding to call Grace our home, I was asked to join the worship band as one of the violinists. As the church and the worship ministry grew, I was asked to serve as a worship leader. In February 2018 I was hired on staff as the Worship Arts Director. I connect to God through music in a very special way, and I love watching others connect to Him in this way as well. In my spare time I've been known to pick up a camera and take some pretty cool photos. I love to take long bike rides with my family, play with our two dogs, read with my daughter, and watch movies with my husband. I'm also very passionate about coffee! If you see me at Grace, please be sure to introduce yourself so I can get to know you!

Grace Evangelical Free Church has been known in the community of Rockford/Edgerton since 1945! We began as Grace Bible Church, then, in 1950 when we joined the Evangelical Free Church of America. Today, most of us would simply say we go to Grace.  Grace has been under the leadership of Pastor Kevin Reed since 2004.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
— Matthew 19:14

At Grace, your child will learn about Jesus Christ in a safe, loving, and interactive environment. We desire to come along side you as parents and help teach your children who Jesus is and how to follow Him.

We strive to do this by...

• Clearly presenting the free gift of salvation to your children. (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9)

• Connecting the Bible to life, history, and science so that your children can know that God is real and trustworthy. (2 Timothy 3:16)

• Challenging children to honor God with the way they live both at home and in school. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)

Sunday Morning during both serices we provide options for Infants-5th Grade

Nursery & Preschool: We provide a loving & caring nursery for the little ones. The preschoolers will enjoy music, crafts, and a simple Bible story.

Children’s Church:  Children Kindergarten-5th grade will join you in the main service for the first few songs before being dismissed as a group to meet their teachers in the foyer.  They will then head to age appropriate classrooms with amazing teachers who love Jesus and love kids!

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
— 1 Timothy 4:12

At Grace you will find a group of teens and leaders who are passionate about Jesus.  We meet weekly all year to encourage each other to walk with Jesus, each and every day.

If you would like to join us we meet in the old building on the right side of the parking lot…

  • Students are split into age appropriate teaching and small group times.
  • On Sunday morning we join the rest of the church for worship.

We believe in small groups.

One of the things we are passionate about here at Grace is family. We desire to see families growing and loving each other so that they can follow the Lord together. At small group, you will connect with other christian families that are serious about their relationship with Christ. The time includes teaching, discussion, prayer, and food. What a great way to get connected at Grace!

Find a group and get connected!

Small Groups meet at various times and locations throughout the week.

Thanks for your interest in supporting the ministry of Grace! We know that there are a lot of things competing for your financial resources, and we consider it an honor that you would choose to give in support of this ministry. We take the ministry of giving very seriously and we are committed to honoring God in the way we use His resources wisely for His Glory. Below you will find our philosophy of giving along with the different options for supporting this ministry.

Our Philosophy of Giving: At Grace we don’t pass an offering plate. We believe that giving is the privilege and responsibility of the people who call this Church their home. This act of worship is between God and the giver and for that reason you will find our “offering boxes” located at the entrances to the auditorium. Thank you for your faithfulness in giving!

For your convenience we provide several different ways you can give:

1. By Mail:  Make your check payable to “Grace EV Free Church” and mail to:

Grace EV Free Church

4714 13 Mile Rd.

Rockford MI, 49341

2. During Sunday Services: Drop your offering/tithe in any one of the 4 offering boxes located at each entrance to the auditorium. Make sure to include your name and address so that credit may be given for your yearly tax credit.

3. Electronic Debit: Just fill out this quick form and mail it or drop it off at the church office. We’ll keep the information on file, and then you can fill out one of the convenient e-Giving slips in the bulletin each week. Drop it in the offering box and your gift will be electronically debited right from your bank account. You can set up a one time gift, or recurring weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly tithes. For more information or questions on this, please call the Church office at (616) 866-2647 and ask for Lisa or e-mail her at secretary@gracerockford.com.

4. Online: We now offer online giving! This is a quick and easy way to give to the ministry at Grace. Just click the button below and you can easily and securely give using Paypal, your debit card, or your credit card. For questions about online giving, please call the Church office at (616) 866-2647 and ask for Lisa or e-mail her at secretary@gracerockford.com.
